Job Summary
Mrs. Clark’s Foods is a leader in Food and Beverage Manufacturing. Located in Ankeny, IA – MCF employs 130 employees across 3 shifts. The Maintenance Technician maintains and/or repairs all manufacturing and supporting equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in keeping production equipment operating at peak performance. You'll play a key part in supporting a fast-paced facility and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 480V 3-phase power
- Work on high-speed production equipment: cappers, fillers, labelers, bottling lines
- Diagnose and fix issues with sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, and motor drives
- Determines proper course of action, related to repair vs. replacement vs. modification of equipment, tools, etc., and makes recommendations regarding such to supervisor.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on a bi-weekly and annual basis or per Preventive Maintenance program
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Cleans, lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years industrial maintenance experience required
- Familiarity with food/beverage production equipment is a plus!
- Strong mental reasoning, written and oral communication skills, and simple math skills required.
- ·Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to perform physical requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
