Schedule: The training schedule is Monday – Friday from 7 am – 3 pm. Once fully trained (2-3 months), associates will work 7 pm – 7 am or 7 am – 7 pm on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Pay: $27.27 - $44.88/hr. with a $2/hr shift premium for night shift

Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. You should be able to interpret blueprints and schematics, use a variety of tools and diagnostic devices, and have a keen understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of industrial machinery and its safe operation and is committed to contributing to a strong safety culture.

This position requires a mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical/electronic equipment installation and the repair and replacement of plant equipment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem.
Repair or replace the necessary parts, such as gears, bearings, and valves.
Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Who are we looking for?

Required Qualifications:

A results-driven individual who has demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment.
Proven work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Possess basic understanding of MSDS.
Operate Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PP, DataStream, MP7i)
High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or associate’s degree in a technical field is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understand technical service manuals and drawings.
Read plant PID prints.
Experience with MIG/TIG and stick welding (carbon and stainless steel).
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including 480V three-phase systems, is highly valued. This includes working with motors, control panels, and other industrial equipment.

Physical Demand:

Must be able to lift light loads and physically traverse throughout the multi-level facility. Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate and utilize a forklift.

Working Conditions:

Job includes exposure to physical hazards associated with the maintenance and operation of major production and plant service equipment and exposure to the raw materials and service-related chemicals used at Prysmian. The job involves exposure to high-noise areas requiring the use of personal protection and exposure to potential lost time accidents due to crushing or cutting of various body parts and burns or splashes associated with exposure to hot equipment and lubricating fluids and other materials used throughout the plant.
