Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and systems, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires a strong background in electrical work, proactive approach to troubleshooting, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Perform OSHA required inspections and assist with safety committee maintenance fixes
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those to and any unusual situations to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Assist/support the Operations Manager with tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance positions in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge electrical wiring systems, low and high voltage preferred
- Knowledge of repair work, installations, construction works, plumbing, dry walling, flooring, etc.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
- Excellent hand/eye coordination
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
- Standing, walking, and bending consistently
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
