Location: Richmond, VA / Schedule: Sunday through Wednesday, 4:00AM to 2:30PM / $27.38 Hourly with Excellent Benefits

We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will be a vital part of our operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our equipment and facilities. If you have a keen eye for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and thrive in a dynamic maintenance environment, we encourage you to apply. Maintenance Technician 2 Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventative maintenance procedures and tasks on equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Operational Support: Work with other departments to ensure overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians and relevant departments to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to enhance their technical skills and ensure the effective transfer of knowledge within the team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Maintenance Technician 2 Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Additional technical certifications preferred)

  • Has minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting or equivalent.

  • Has strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Has a strong working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles.

  • Has a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.

  • Understands basic hand tool functions.

  • Has a great team focused attitude.

  • Is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Is physically able to perform the duties of the job.

  • Is able to operate support equipment (i.e. Forklifts, Scissor Lifts)

  • Has strong communication skills.

  • Is willing to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays.
