Job Overview:
Maintenance Technician Level II
Core Skills:
- Ability to work well with groups or independently
- Good problem-solving skills required to resolve problems and making routine recommendations
- Requires documentable experience in the maintenance trades, formal apprenticeship or equivalent on the job the job training experience.
- Working knowledge basic industrial electrical & mechanical skills.
- Ability to speak read and write English.
Departmental Competencies
- Responsible for facilities & equipment repairs through written and verbal instruction.
- Must perform work in various maintenance trades including, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, painting and pneumatics.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Required to properly fill out and return documentation and paperwork when task is completed
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule
- Will be on call and must respond to call outs as required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to work off ladders and aerial platforms
- Be aware of costs, reduce or keep to a minimum expenditures
- Ability and skills to perform facilities Maintenance level 2 work in addition being able to work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature
Independence
Must be experienced at working independently or with others on various projects
Normally receives work instructions verbally and written on general work assignments. May work from rough sketches and drawings. Does not receive any instruction on routine assignments.

- Must Follow SOPs and adhere to quality and regulatory standards
Technical Skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics`
- Basic troubleshooting
Physical Abilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Required to climb ladders and stairs
- Work overhead in a limited capacity
- Withstand exposure to heat and cold
- Able to wear a respirator
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
