Innovairre is looking for an addition to our Maintenance Dept! We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician who wants to build their career with a growing organization. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting machines in a direct mail manufacturing environment, with a focus on reducing cost-related errors, exceeding client expectations, driving a safe workplace, and being innovative. Responsibilities include equipment repairs, operations, ensuring safe production standards, and managing the day-to-day functioning of machines and tools critical to our organization. Prior experience working in a Print facility with Direct Mail inserting equipment is highly preferred. 

Shift: 1st Shift - 8 hours (9AM-5PM or 10AM-6PM)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conducts preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Troubleshoots maintenance on various machines to ensure efficiency and reduces interruptions of production and quality.
  • Inspects equipment and systems for any issues.
  • Completes day to day maintenance repairs.
  • Follows all departmental SOP’s.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook.
  • Promotes and maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicates all safety issues, incidents and near misses observed. 
  • Reports major problems with machinery and downtime to the Supervisor.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role with electrical and mechanical expertise.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including bending, repetitive motion, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule for overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere.
  • Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality produced.
  • Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts.
  • Ability to run air lines, conduit, and wiring for new and relocated equipment.
  • Strong leadership traits, with the ability to train and mentor other Maintenance Technicians.
  • Ability to suggest improvements to upper management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to determine mechanical priorities and perform highly diversified duties such as installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment according to safety/OSHA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of predictive and productive maintenance systems.
  • Effective communicator with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including bending, repetitive motion, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere.
  • Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality produced.
  • Adherence to safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and HazCom.
  • Follows all departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
