We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing company in the Itasca area. This is a direct-hire, 1st-shift opportunity offering competitive pay, long-term stability, and the chance to work hands-on with a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electro-mechanical maintenance background and experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, sensors, switches, electrical components, and industrial controls
- Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Work with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and other mechanical systems
- Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime
- Perform equipment adjustments, installations, and component replacements
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
- Support preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Work closely with production employees to identify recurring equipment issues and improve reliability
Ideal Background:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing, metalworking, fabrication, stamping, or similar industrial environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase motors and 480V equipment
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and motors
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
