Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The Maintenance Technician's primary focus will be to ensure systems and machinery perform at optimum functionality by performing preventative maintenance functions as well as repairing machinery that is not operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment that is consistent with health and safety standards
Ability to install new machinery that is consistent with health and safety standards
Perform/install electric service as necessary
Possess knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and TIG welding
Perform preventive maintenance on various machines and systems as required by health and safety standards
Routinely work with and understand various paperwork including operating manuals
Continually participate in additional training related to the job
Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area as needed
Work with contractors and service providers in a professional manner
Consistently keep maintenance logs and reports on daily activities
Adhere to all procedures, safety policies and standards for the facility

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school preferred
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
Knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 Regulations
Knowledge of Food Safety programs preferred
Knowledge of egg processing operations and equipment preferred
Proficiency with computers (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Able to occasionally work flexible hours based upon Company work volume and needs
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs, stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours at a time
Ability to use a computer, read written content in paper form or on a computer screen, and type using a keyboard
Able to make precisely coordinated movements with fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly
Vision – Near and Far vision, depth perception, the ability to distinguish differences in colors, and ability to focus
Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, pulling, reaching, grasping, and fine manipulation skills using hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs
