Description

Essential functions

  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Visually inspects and provides regular and emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Ability to dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Install new parts and reassemble.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors/ other maintenance to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Run errands to purchase parts as needed for machine maintenance
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.
