Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Performs troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime.
- Installs/ repairs/ maintains all types of electrical and mechanical equipment including PLC’s- wiring- motor starters- switches- motors- gearboxes- pumps- filters- actuators- valves- etc.
- Able to read and understand all types of blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Operates power tools- hand tools- and electrical and instrument test equipment to install- maintain- and troubleshoot plant equipment.
- Operates all types of machine shop equipment including drills- lathes- milling machines- grinders- and cut-off saws- micrometers- calipers- and veneers.
- Performs all necessary documentation of work performed and any unusual conditions- or defective equipment with the highest accuracy possible in SAP.
- Administers training as needed.
- Provides leadership toward team development Mentors “M” Technicians in technical and leadership skills.
- Works with all team members to meet production goals within operating budgets.
- Able to stand for long periods of time; be able to reach- bend- stoop- push and/or pull- and frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
