Purpose of Position:
The Maintenance Associate to support / repair product lines and auto manufacturing operations.
Classification: Hourly
Essential Job Functions:
· Production support: support during downtime and C/O for smooth daily production.
· Machine trouble countermeasures to improve the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and the Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
· Active participation in all new model and maintenance activities and build events as needed.
· Maintenance technical shift support (1st/2nd/3rd shifts).
· Technical training and manual participation
· Troubleshoot, PLC’s
· Recommend improvements to new and existing equipment in efforts to optimize the production process.
· Work with maintenance group on preventative maintenance, machine repair, and predictive maintenance.
· Participate in weekend work and shutdown activities
· Notify proper management immediately of any job-related accidents; document all information and share with other shift/departments, assist with analysis and countermeasure implementation.
· Implement machine/line process improvements
· Work with other EC Associates to enhance their knowledge of equipment and troubleshooting abilities.
· Support to develop machine specific PM’s
· May perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Education; Qualifications, Technical Skills/Competencies:
· 2-year experience with mechanical and /or 2 years of experience in electrical
· Read, understand electrical controls schematics.
· Use of electrical test equipment (multimeter.)
· Understands AC and DC circuits
· Understand motor controls (induction and DC).
· Relay logic experience.
· Electrical controls and integration experience in manufacturing
· Robotic welding experience
· Robotic teaching experience
· Mechanical machine repair
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Team oriented
· Results driven. Able to apply logical reasoning during troubleshooting under pressure.
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Technical Skills/Competencies:
· Nachi / OTC Daihen / Motoman robot experience
· Stamping Presses / feed lines
· Human machine interface understanding
· Ladder logic understanding
· Use of OHM meters
· Familiar with MS Project and Catia
