Maintenance
Job Summary:
To Maintain & Repair production equipment, and perform facility maintenance as needed.
Essential duties:
- Follows safe working practices and notify any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed.
- Performs and documents preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and analysis machine operation variations to diagnose problems to repair machines
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays-out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Installs, repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Repairs and replaces defective parts
- Starts devices to tests their performance
- Initiates purchase orders for parts
- Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees
- Operates with a sense of urgency when required.
- Understand and follow employee handbook.
- Understand and know where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located.
- Fill out daily labor cards correctly, completely, and timely.
- Be present and punctual according to work schedules (starting time, quitting, rest & clean up periods)
- Able to develop multiple skills for multiple cells as needed.
- Maintain all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness and organization per established 5S practices.
- The employee must frequently and properly lift, lower and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Discuss all questions and concerns with your direct supervisors in a timely manor.
- Performs and documents Lock-Out/Tag-Out correctly and 100% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Education or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Ability to safely and properly repair and troubleshoot various production machines.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and blue prints.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices as needed.
- Basic computer knowledge desired
- Tow Motor and Scissor lift certification required
- Arc Flash knowledge desired
- Specific safety training specified in New Employee Orientation
- Specific procedural training identified in the Job Function Element Master List
- Knowledgeable and proficient in cnc, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, & HVAC systems
