Perform the maintenance functions necessary to design, fabricate, install, move, repair, or otherwise service a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and plant facilities.
Install new equipment upon arrival and relocate existing equipment by performing such duties as unloading from trucks and moving to production location; preparing foundations; setting and leveling machinery; installing coolant, oil, and air lines; and the general cleanup duties after project completion.
Perform the necessary repair work on all primary and secondary types of production machinery and their supportive equipment and systems.
Perform the operations necessary to repair or replace such general plant facility items as floors, ceiling tiles, heating units, or general plumbing.
Design, layout, fabricate, and assemble special machine attachments or other equipment such as conveyor systems or part feeding systems. Work from prints or sketches. May have to improvise procedures when specific details are not available.
Design and install new or revised piping systems for coolant, air, oil or hydraulic systems as required.
Analyze and suggest corrective action in cases of mechanical malfunction on any operating equipment or accessories.
May be required to perform necessary repair work on average type electrical problems.
Work with and instruct lower classification maintenance people for later advancement to higher maintenance classifications.
Complete maintenance portion of work order following the completion of the assigned job. Refer to electrician or supervisor as necessary.

Required Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
Education: High School Education or GED
2 or more years of related maintenance experience
