Automation Maintenance Technician

$35 - $46 p/h

1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri

The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation faults.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motors, drives, and HMIs.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, packaging machines, pumps, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and follow food safety and health & safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG preferred).
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and automated equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
