Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Director, Maintenance and Facilities

About the Role

Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help accomplish department objectives by supporting staff and contributing to ongoing maintenance and facilities operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and perform preventive maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Notify management when parts and supplies are needed or used
• Understand and follow quality sign-off procedures
• Understand and follow all safety procedures
• Understand and follow all food safety and food quality requirements, including proper documentation
• Know and follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and industry best practices
• Communicate regularly with managers and other designated contacts within the organization
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Secondary Responsibilities

• Participate actively in committees as required
• Attend and actively participate in meetings as required
• Maintain flexible availability to cover call-offs or vacations, including weekends if necessary

Physical Demands

• Ability to talk and hear throughout the workday
• Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasional sitting required
