Job Overview:

Chris-Craft is a premium boat manufacturer participating in the luxury goods industry looking for an a Maintenance Technician who wants to be part of a great team building a world-class product.


Position Summary

Perform basic types of building maintenance and repair that is generated from the Facilities Services work order system. Most work will be related to the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment at the facility. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment at the facility including but not limited to air conditioning, air compressors, power tool repairs and maintenance, ventilation and dust collection systems.
  • Air hose build and repairs.
  • Conduct basic electrical work when necessary.
  • Maintenance and repair of fire suppression systems.
  • Maintenance and repair of all lamination equipment 
  • Able to interpret and follow parts breakdown.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on buildings, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate forklift (after certification) and pallet jack to move dollies.
  • Assist with daily trash operations.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment. 
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and follow all OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist in other areas when asked and have a positive attitude.

Education & Knowledge Requirements

  • Up to 3 years’ experience in building maintenance and equipment repair required.
  • Technical diploma or degree can be substituted for years of experience.
  • Able to operate and read a multimeter.
  • Experience with basic electrical up to 220 volts.
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and multi-meter required.
  • Knowledge of Magnum Venus Products preferred. Gelcoat, resin, and adhesive systems.
  • Experience working with a preventative maintenance program a plus.
  • Forklift certified or ability to get certification in first 90 days.
  • OSHA knowledge a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  
  • Ability to prioritize workload to keep production running with minimum interruptions.  
  • Good attendance is a must.

Physical Requirements:  Including, but not limited to:  bending, climbing, crawling, stretching, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.  May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up, from a scissor lift or ladder.  May require individual to be in awkward positions.

 

Environmental Conditions:  Exposed to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and some outside weather conditions.  May be exposed to acetone, putties, glues, adhesive cleaners, caulking, transmission fluids, lubricants.
