The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II position is to support the company’s goals and objectives by completing the highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the building and facility equipment according to safety, preventative maintenance systems and processes. The Maintenance Technician II responds to tickets as well as completing regular routine duties and must be flexible with daily activities. The Maintenance Technician II will assess and consider the daily safety of our Associates and Visitors and oversee the security of our assets. Roles and Responsibilities: - Perform routine and emergency maintenance on various sheet metal manufacturing machines including punches, shears, lasers, and press brakes.
- Collaborate and communicate well with others including machine manufacturers in order to diagnose and resolve problems.
- May be required to operate sheet metal manufacturing equipment in order to diagnose problems.
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
- Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met.
- Able to repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
- Provide exceptional technical equipment support to ensure that equipment is running efficiently and on time.
- Able to test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using test instruments.
- Assist with maintaining building security and immediately respond to building emergencies.
- Assist in maintaining the facility by repairing, painting, and performing preventive maintenance when necessary.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Accurately follow OSHA and ISO guidelines and procedures to maintain compliance for all business obligations.
- Adhere to Earnest Products Core Values, policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook and Associate Safety Manual.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: - 5+ years of sheet metal manufacturing machine maintenance experience is recommended.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in stem field is recommended but not required or Trade school degree and/or 5+ years of relevant work experience with sheet metal manufacturing equipment.
- Able to solve problems with minimal knowledge.
- Willing to contact and communicate efficiently with machine manufacturers to diagnose problems.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Working Conditions: - Clean, air-conditioned facility
- Safety glasses are required on the plant floor at all times.
- The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are utilized daily.
Physical Demands: - Must have full range of motion and be able to kneel and bend for extended periods as task may require.
- This position requires a full range of motion, the ability to kneel, bend and stand for extended periods of time, and movement of the entire body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
- This position requires lifting and maneuvering 50lbs. without physical restrictions and up to 70lbs. with assistance of lifting equipment or with assistance from other Associates.
