Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with Maintenance and Facility leadership to reduce equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency
- Repair production equipment safely and efficiently following breakdowns
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Fabricate, modify, and install new or existing equipment
- Support continuous improvement projects and assigned initiatives
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage
- Comply with all NOV policies, HSE standards, and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Duties
- Diagnose and repair production equipment following breakdowns, ensuring safe and efficient restoration of operations
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Fabricate, modify, and install new or existing equipment to support production and continuous improvement efforts
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment to complete maintenance tasks
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to address equipment and process issues
- Ability to work overtime and shift schedules as required
- Stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day
- Perform frequent bending, stooping, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Push and pull equipment or materials throughout the shift
- Travel up to 10% as needed
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Candidates must be local or able to commute daily
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a maintenance, fabrication, or mechanical shop environment preferred
- Experience supporting equipment repair, fabrication, or general shop operations required
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain forklift certification is preferred
- Ability to read and use precision gauges, drawings, and technical instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
- Willingness to be cross-trained and learn multiple job functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and reliability
