Position Summary:
Provide maintenance support for Production and IPP facilities and on-call assistance as needed. Ownership of basic tools to perform your daily duties is required.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for maintenance of all machines on the production floor.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Address daily maintenance requirements such as PMs and projects.
• Troubleshoot issues on equipment utilizing feedback from operators and plant management.
• Perform on-call support to production as needed.
• Oversee relationships with vendors that support maintenance including scheduling and collaboration of repair work.
• Assemble and install all new equipment on production floor as needed.
• Fabricate and wire new equipment bracing and hookups to electrical and plumbing.
• Perform facility maintenance including maintaining electrical, enforcing safety procedures and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Responsible for creating maintenance schedules based on equipment manuals.
• Researches and procures replacement parts.
• Train maintenance technicians as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
• Associates degree from technical school or two-year College with four years of industrial maintenance experience or 7 or more years experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience with MIG and stick welding preferred.
• Experience with 110-220-480 electrical systems preferred. • Experience rebuilding hydraulic components, including hydraulic cylinder. Maintenance Technician III – Job Description - 2.25.19 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must have the ability to perform manufacturing equipment repairs.
• Strong verbal communication skills required to obtain feedback from equipment operators to diagnose issues, provide status report to management, and work with vendors.
• Written communication skills to provide action reports, daily log sheets and create PM schedules.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, orders, schematics, electrical schematics, and pneumatic schematics.
• Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, plumbing, electrical, and pneumatic systems preferred and how to troubleshoot each.
• Extensive knowledge, ability to operate and ownership of general mechanical tools such as hammers, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and voltmeter.
• Ability to operate a lathe and mill is highly preferred.
• Availability to work on-call at least one weekend a month is required.
• Ability to operate a sit down and stand up forklift, scissor lift and crane.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting on PLC systems preferred.
• Ability to operate a bridgeport milling machine.
• Familiarity with basic VTL (vertical turret lathe), extruders, injection machine and winder machine operations preferred.
• Familiarity of industrial plumbing preferred.
Physical Conditions:
Position requires constant standing, kneeling, lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing equipment and lying down to get underneath equipment. Exposure to high temperature in facility. Overtime may be required on occasion.
