**Responsibilities:
**
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining and improving the maintenance department, facility, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair die-casting and plant equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
- Install, bend, and route EMT and rigid conduit up to 2 inches, ensuring compliance with electrical standards.
- Install, replace, and repair electrical components, including motor controls, contactors, overloads, relays, and limit switches.
- Troubleshoot and support PLCs and other machine controllers to minimize equipment downtime.
- Complete maintenance work orders, inspection reports, and required documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure maintenance and facility projects are completed safely and on schedule.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company safety policies and maintenance best practices.
- Stay current with new maintenance technologies, equipment, and industry practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
**Qualifications:
**
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical School or Vocational Training preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience working with die-casting machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, heaters, ladles, hoists, air compressors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum systems, welding equipment, and related machinery.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to complete maintenance documentation and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to safety, quality, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
