Summary:
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our industrial facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will work closely with a team of engineers and operators to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, including but not limited to conveyor systems, pumps, motors, compressors, and other production equipment. Identify potential issues and perform repairs to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, electrical and mechanical problems, and system failures. Use various tools and testing equipment to identify the root cause of issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Repairs and Replacements: Perform repairs or parts replacements for faulty components. Maintain a stock of necessary spare parts and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of critical components.
Electrical Work: Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including wiring, circuits, and control systems. Familiarity with electrical diagrams and schematics is essential for this role.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing maintenance tasks. Report any potential safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure accuracy and precision in production processes.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and update equipment histories.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce maintenance costs. Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in the field of industrial maintenance.
Training and Support: Provide technical support and training to operators and other team members to enhance their understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related fields is preferred.
Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial maintenance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
