Maintenance Technician

Location: Rochester Hills, Michigan

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility upkeep. This role is responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment.

Schedule & Pay

• Monday: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Tuesday – Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Overtime available as needed

Starting Pay:

• $26.65 – $29.85 per hour based on relevant experience
• Pay increases to $27.72 – $30.91 per hour after 90 days

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns and mechanical failures
• Assist with installation and setup of new production equipment
• Support process improvements focused on safety, productivity, and scrap reduction
• Perform tool setups, mold changes, and production sampling when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Support facility maintenance and general equipment upkeep

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transfer systems
• Strong understanding of Lock Out / Tag Out / Try Out procedures and industrial safety standards
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair experience required
• Experience repairing and installing motors, pumps, compressors, filters, and chillers
• Strong mechanical aptitude including welding, pipe fitting, and sheet metal fabrication
• Comfortable using HMIs, touchscreens, and computer systems for data entry and equipment research
• Experience with foam or plastics manufacturing preferred
• Familiarity with Krauss Maffei, Hennecke, or Desma equipment is a plus
