OVERVIEW:
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in the plant. Other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE:
2-2-3 7:00PM TO 7:00AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, and follows all preventative maintenance schedules.
Discusses any problems with the machinery or equipment with managers/supervisors.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment. Installs new or repaired parts.
Follows all safety procedures and policies. Must be able to operate with a respirator on and maintain cleanliness of all safety equipment.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Installs and repairs electrical equipment.
Designs, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic.
Ability to react to basic system alarms and reset as necessary.
Ability to communicate and work effectively in close proximity with co-workers to inform them of work-related problems, production updates, and to plan, organize, and complete job tasks.
Physically move carts, pallets, and toolboxes from one area to another in order to perform necessary repairs or replacement of parts.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Agility in multitasking in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Follows all company policies, procedures and safety rules preventing on-the-job injuries by maintaining a clean safe operation and work area.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Understand and support the Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.
Support continual improvement initiatives.
Support JSOX compliance.
Overtime as required to meet customer demands.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1 year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3
