Description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft. The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

 


Key Responsibilities
•    Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment 
•    Perform OSHA required inspections and assist with safety committee maintenance fixes
•    Perform mechanic skills including, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.  
•    Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
•    Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
•    Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
•    Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
•    Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those to and any unusual situations to Maintenance Supervisor.
•    Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
•    Assist/support the Maintenance Supervisor with tasks as necessary.

 

Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education preferred
•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance positions in a manufacturing environment

 

Skills and Competencies
•    Strong knowledge of electrical wiring systems, low and high voltage preferred
•    Knowledge of repair work, installations, construction works, plumbing, dry walling, flooring, etc.
•    Strong computer skills.  

 

Physical Requirements
•    Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
•    Excellent hand/eye coordination
•    Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
•    Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
•    Standing, walking, and bending consistently
•    Periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools

The expected base pay range for this position is between $28 and $34 per hour.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
