Aegis Worldwide is a recruiting firm that specializes in the manufacturing and engineering industries! One of our manufacturing clients in the **Alabaster, AL area *is currently in need of a skilled* Maintenance Technician **to join their team on *1st shift*. This is a direct hire opportunity offering $28–32/hr, full benefits, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of facility equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, robotics, PLCs, and mechanical components.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair multi-craft systems to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

• Utilize PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley preferred) to identify faults, assist in program adjustments, and support automation reliability.

• Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance needs while ensuring minimal disruption to schedules.

• Create, update, and manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules, including coordinating contractor support when needed.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives through equipment upgrades, root-cause analysis, and system modifications.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred); robotics experience is a strong plus.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Prior automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
