Position Overview

Aegis is partnered with a leading manufacturing client in the Pelham, Alabama area seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong multi-craft background. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced manufacturing equipment, including robotics and PLC-controlled systems, to ensure optimal production uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, robotics, and automated equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Support production by minimizing downtime through quick and effective problem-solving
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Strong multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems (480V, motors, drives, etc.)
  • Experience working with PLCs (troubleshooting, basic programming preferred)
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics systems
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to work independently on 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with robotic automation (Fanuc, ABB, or similar)
  • Advanced PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
