What will you do?
In this role, you will use knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and hydraulics to maintain equipment in the manufacturing operations and the facility. Duties may involve preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electrical or mechanical equipment, machining, welding, fabrication, and the installation of new equipment.
Understand and adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, safety procedures, and company safety policies.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and repair equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment; inspecting and replacing drives, motors, belts, etc.
Diagnose mechanical problems. Determine & execute effective and efficient corrective repair actions, using blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs, etc. as appropriate for various situations.
Repair machines and equipment using tools such as precision measuring instruments electrical or electronic testing devices, etc.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
Maintain equipment logs.
Maintain inventory of spare parts.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Work scheduled hours with overtime as required.
Three plus years of previous related experienced required.
Working knowledge of hydraulic presses and CNC machines.
Work independently or share work with others to perform equipment maintenance tasks.
Work in a team setting and communicate appropriately with Managers, Supervisors, and fellow employees with Courtesy and Respect
Appropriately use and/or wear personal protective equipment as required for protection from hazards of the work or tasks being done.
Ability to position self to lift, move, install, remove, adjust, position, measure, and handle tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Walk and stand for the entire scheduled shift
Work in hot or cold environments as necessary
Frequently reach, stoop and bend
Use upper body or leg strength to occasionally push or pull objects or loads
Concentrate and make logically sound and safe decisions in the presence of loud noise and other distractions.
