Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

$38.00 - $43.00 per hour (DOE)

1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 2:30pm

**MUST HAVE INJECTION MOLD EXPERIENCE **

We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established Injection Molding Manufacturer in Palatine, IL.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business, maintaining injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment while supporting production through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain injection molding presses, screws, barrels, pumps and motors
• Service auxiliary equipment including robots, conveyors, chillers, thermolators and grinders
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain PM schedules and checklists
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and PLC documentation
• Support production teams with machine troubleshooting and maintenance activities
• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Perform welding, soldering and general mechanical repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ensure equipment complies with company safety standards and procedures

What We're Looking For

• Injection molding maintenance experience is essential
• 3+ years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience working on 24VDC to 480VAC three-phase electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment
• Skilled using hand tools, welders, lathes and overhead cranes
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or GED
