Job Description

Summit Orange currently has an open position for Maintenance Technician (1st shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary: Under general supervision performs a variety of repairs and/or preventative maintenance tasks to keep plant equipment in good working order. Repairs and services mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics, plumbing, pumps, controllers, conveyors motors etc. Assist in new equipment installations and equipment modifications. May perform minor repairs or modifications to facilities. Follows all implemented and common sense safety guidelines.

 Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the printed circuit industry, be able to work with minimum supervision and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 General:

1. Understanding of industry standards and appropriate applications.
2. Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisory staff.
3. Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.

 Responsibilities:

1.  Performs all Preventive Maintenance according to Summit procedures.
2. Maintains communication regarding workflow, equipment problems, etc. between shifts and co-workers.
3. Repairs all equipment per manufacture recommendations.
