Job Overview:

This self-starting, mechanically inclined individual will be responsible for developing a working knowledge of the machinery and equipment used in the production processes. This person must be adept at working with others, coordinating with the maintenance team members, as well as production personnel to ensure repairs are accomplished safely, and in a timely manner.

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Diagnosis of root cause of problems and makes appropriate repairs

  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

  • Previous exposure to welding and machining to assist in the fabrication of repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends utilizing the maintenance system module (Amper)

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related projects as needed.

  • Can be trained in the operation of forklift and scissor lift and achieve company certification

  • Willing to work flexible hours as customer demands dictate

Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Welding/machining/metal fabrication skills a plus.
