Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing - 2nd Shift

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and packaging systems within an industrial or food manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, heaters, coolers, and related equipment.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, boiler, and oven systems.
- Disassemble and reassemble processing and packaging equipment.
- Assist with machinery installs, equipment moves, and line modifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and replace parts as needed.
- Perform mechanical repairs using hand and power tools.
- Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Assist with training and support of other maintenance personnel.
- Safely operate PIT equipment and follow all plant safety procedures.
- Support welding and fabrication work as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or food production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Basic industrial electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics.
- Experience working on conveyors, packaging equipment, motors, pumps, and production machinery.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Welding experience or willingness to learn preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
