Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to machinery to locate cause of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using appropriate tools.
Repairs and replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Starts devices after repair to ensure that the machine is operating correctly.
Completes preventive maintenance on all machines according to the PM Schedule.'
Uses all of their resources to find the parts needed for repairs and passes this information on to the purchasing person
