Maintenance Tech, Madison, WI, All Shifts, $29-$43/hour, 5% Shift Differential

Responsibilities

Seeking experienced** Industrial Maintenance Technicians **to support equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role will work with die casting, CNC, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and automated systems.
• Perform emergency repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNCs, conveyors, presses, furnaces, ovens, and die casting equipment.
• Support equipment improvement and maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and production team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Technical school diploma preferred but not required.
• Strong experience with hydraulics, blueprint reading, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Electrical experience up to 480V, including motors and rewiring.
• PLC, VFD, robotics, or automation experience preferred.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, foundry, die casting, machining, automotive, fabrication, or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in a hot, cold, dirty, dusty, and physically demanding manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work significant overtime and occasional weekends.

• $29–$43/hour, based on experience
• 5% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Overtime opportunities — typically 10–20 additional hours/week
