RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on various office and building equipment.
Assist supervisor in coordinating contract work for maintenance and repairs and assist in all projects and other duties as assigned.
Schedule and maintain inspection of safety, security, and fire prevention equipment.
Maintain spare parts inventory.
Perform calibration testing of equipment as necessary.
Address issues and maintain the Maintenance Service Request Ticket System.
Maintain training up-to date and compliant with all site and Quality requirements specific to the job.
Lead projects and/or work groups.
Make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools.
Multi-task.
Practice good interpersonal skills and work within a team-oriented environment.
Maintain working relationships with all site personnel, vendors, and contractors.
Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
Be able to use Windows-based computer programs.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
- All maintenance activities of the Lynchburg Distribution Center.
- Work under general supervision in all areas of the Lynchburg plant and adhere to all governing SOPs and regulations.
- Expected to work overtime during scheduled weekend work as determined by their supervisor which includes Saturday and/or Sunday and be flexible to work across shifts and holidays as necessary. Available for on-call emergencies.
- Expected to follow all safety policies procedures and practices including lockout/tagout, waste handling, electrical safety, emergency response, PPE and others.
- Provide support and oversite of approved vendors and service contractor activities to ensure compliance to procedures and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge of plumbing and fabrication.
- 3-5 years Maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Fork truck certification required – certification course will be provided after hire-in.
- Knowledge of fire suppression systems.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Preferred Skills: Electrical, HVAC, Material Handling Systems, PLC Programming.
