Job Overview:

RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on various office and building equipment.

  • Assist supervisor in coordinating contract work for maintenance and repairs and assist in all projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Schedule and maintain inspection of safety, security, and fire prevention equipment.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory.

  • Perform calibration testing of equipment as necessary.

  • Address issues and maintain the Maintenance Service Request Ticket System.

  • Maintain training up-to date and compliant with all site and Quality requirements specific to the job.

  • Lead projects and/or work groups.

  • Make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools.

  • Multi-task.

  • Practice good interpersonal skills and work within a team-oriented environment.

  • Maintain working relationships with all site personnel, vendors, and contractors.

  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.

  • Be able to use Windows-based computer programs.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • All maintenance activities of the Lynchburg Distribution Center.
  • Work under general supervision in all areas of the Lynchburg plant and adhere to all governing SOPs and regulations.
  • Expected to work overtime during scheduled weekend work as determined by their supervisor which includes Saturday and/or Sunday and be flexible to work across shifts and holidays as necessary. Available for on-call emergencies.
  • Expected to follow all safety policies procedures and practices including lockout/tagout, waste handling, electrical safety, emergency response, PPE and others.
  • Provide support and oversite of approved vendors and service contractor activities to ensure compliance to procedures and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge of plumbing and fabrication.
  • 3-5 years Maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
  • Fork truck certification required – certification course will be provided after hire-in.
  • Knowledge of fire suppression systems.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Preferred Skills: Electrical, HVAC, Material Handling Systems, PLC Programming.

  • PLC Programming Experience
  • Material Handler Experience
  • Forklift Licensed
