JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the multi-craft maintenance technician is to perform preventative maintenance and repair all production-related equipment to meet expected production output levels. Candidates should have experience with managing parts inventory and ordering, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and tools. Candidates should have expert-level experience with fork and scissor lifts and must maintain a clean safe work environment and adhere to safe work practices. Additional responsibilities include general building maintenance throughout the facility as needed.
This position supports operations year-round; during our peak season the schedule and daily hours fluctuate based on business demand and may include evenings, weekends, and overtime. During non-peak season, schedules are more regular and predictable.
NON-PEAK SEASON:
- Monday – Friday
- Regular shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
PEAK SEASON:
- Workdays and hours vary based on business demand.
- May include weekends, extended shifts, and overtime.
- Employees must be available for variable hours and days as workload increases.
This position will train on 1st shift until trained and able to move to 2nd shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preventative maintenance and repair of all production-related equipment.
- Manage parts inventory and ordering.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and tools.
- Operate fork and scissor lifts (expert-level).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to safe work practices.
- Perform building maintenance throughout the facility as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass a drug test and submit to a background check.
- Must have a High School diploma (GED).
- Must be able to give and follow written and oral directions.
- Must be able to accomplish set tasks and goals.
- Must be willing to work some overtime and weekends.
- Able to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs consistently.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of relevant experience or training.
- Five years of maintenance facility experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, carpentry & electrical.
- Knowledge of general mechanical and electrical principals.
- Licensed Forklift Operator (preferred).
- Experience working with hand and power tools (preferred).
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes and handbooks.
- Ability to use various testing devices related to the mechanical trades.
- Some knowledge of computers.
