Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment, completing preventive maintenance, and minimizing equipment downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related equipment issues
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Respond to production-line maintenance calls and repair defective or malfunctioning machinery
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
- Support shift startups and ensure production machinery is functional and ready for operation
- Track equipment downtime, maintenance activity, repairs, and process improvements
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and applicable mechanical safety requirements
- Maintain parts inventory and support a clean, safe work environment
Skills & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and electrical/mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
- Knowledge of industrial machinery safety and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces as required
- Basic knowledge of facility and building maintenance systems
Desired
- Technical certification in electrical, robotics, mechanical technology, welding, fabrication, or a related discipline
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
- Experience with Siemens STEP 7 or comparable industrial automation platforms
- Industrial robotics troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Forklift and/or manlift certification
- Applicable industrial or maintenance safety certifications
- Microsoft Office proficiency
