Overview
A growing manufacturing facility in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of plant equipment and facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, tools, and building systems to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
-Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machines, and plant systems.
-Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to restore equipment functionality.
-Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
-Coordinate maintenance schedules with supervisors and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
-Install and maintain machinery, tools, and facility systems as needed.
-Maintain organized, clean workspaces within the plant and lab areas.
-Support company safety initiatives and operational performance goals.
Requirements
-Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical training.
-6 months to 1 year of maintenance or industrial equipment experience.
-Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, maintenance manuals, and technical instructions.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and working around machinery.
Preferences
-Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
-Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
-Basic math and mechanical aptitude for measurements and equipment adjustments.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing facility with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, loud noise levels, and varying temperatures. Safety protocols and protective equipment are required.
