A stable and growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Technician
to support all electrical and mechanical maintenance activities,
on-site, in the West Virginia panhandle.
The Ideal Candidate is well-versed in PLCs, 480V, and 3-phase systems, but is multi-skilled and able to contribute to plant maintenance activities across a variety of disciplines.
Shifts Needed:
- 2d shift (2pm-10:30pm) w/ $1 shift diff
- 3d shift (10pm-6:30am) w/ $2 shift diff
- Both shifts are strictly Monday-Friday!
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures across a range of industrial processing and handling equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize machine uptime and reliability.
- Install, modify, and repair industrial electrical systems (120V–480V, single- and 3-phase), including control panels, drives, and motor circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to production downtime events; work alongside operators to address recurring equipment concerns.
- Support equipment changeovers, startups, and new machine installations.
- Log work orders and maintenance records in the CMMS; contribute recommendations for reliability improvements.
- Adhere to all plant safety standards including LOTO, electrical safety, and machine guarding; confirm equipment is safe before returning to production.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Solid working knowledge of 3-phase power and industrial control circuits
- Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and PLC ladder logic
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Proficient with standard diagnostic tools (multimeter, megger, IR camera, gauges)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment
- Basic computer skills and willingness to work overtime as business needs dictate
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- State electrician license or journeyman certification
- PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable platform)
- CMMS experience for work order management
- Basic welding, machining, or fabrication skills
