Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing

1st Shift, Monday - Friday - 8am - 5pm
$28.00 – $36.00/hr
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a food production facility. This role will focus on troubleshooting, repair, installation, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment, electrical systems, and facility machinery
- Install, maintain, move, replace, and remove machinery, piping, conduit, and production equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, rebuilds, and equipment modifications
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, faulty wiring, sensors, motors, and control systems
- Test electrical circuits, systems, and components to ensure proper operation
- Install, program, and maintain PLCs, instrumentation equipment, and sensors
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, layouts, technical manuals, and electrical drawings
- Perform pipe threading, fabrication, TIG welding, and general mechanical repairs
- Support conveyor maintenance, equipment alignment, and production reliability initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure clean, organized work areas
- Assist with facility maintenance, construction, and miscellaneous maintenance projects
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and GMP standards within a regulated manufacturing environment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience within manufacturing environments
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with 480V/3-phase systems
- Experience with AC/DC electrical systems, motors, controls, instrumentation, and sensors
- PLC troubleshooting or programming experience preferred
- Experience working within FDA-regulated or food manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance software systems preferred
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading, and TIG welding
- Forklift certification preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical schooling, apprenticeship, or electrical training preferred
