BASIC FUNCTION
Repairs general machine shop and facility equipment. Services Company vehicles. Helps set-up new equipment. Performs maintenance projects, i.e., carts, tables, etc. Advises supervision of tools, materials and parts needed to maintain production equipment. Works closely with other Maintenance and Operations personnel in attaining production goals and objectives. Other duties and assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) or more years maintenance experience.
Skills and Abilities
Solid industrial mechanical maintenance skills
Strong problem solving skills
Good communications skills.
Good blueprint reading skills.
Good working knowledge of machine shop equipment, hand/power tools, basic electronic measuring equipment and blue print/schematic reading.
Good understanding of electrical preferred.
Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekends if necessary
Some welding skills preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements
Valid Alabama Drivers License.
No current restrictions prohibiting regular lifting, bending, or twisting up to 50 lbs.
Must furnish some basic hand tools.
