Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Jackson, MI that produces precision-engineered components for the automotive, aerospace, defense, heavy truck, performance engine, agriculture, and marine industries.

This Industrial Maintenance Mechanic role is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity (not contract or temp). The position is responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to support production uptime and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts if necessary.
