Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Tech to ensure the continuous operation and reliability of all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. This position is critical to minimizing downtime and supporting efficient production.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on all manufacturing equipment; including laser cutters, folders, and welders, according to schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions in a timely manner to restore equipment to service.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals for effective troubleshooting and repair.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment history.
- Ensure all work adheres to company safety protocols, OSHA, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Assist in the installation, relocation, or modification of plant equipment and utility systems.
- Support the Continuous Improvement process by identifying and implementing long-term solutions for recurring equipment failures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and storage areas.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the sheet metal industry.
- 2 or more years of experience working with an Amada laser cutting machine
- 2 or more years of experience working with press brakes
- Competency in industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase circuits, controls, and PLCs (basic understanding).
- Experience in sheet metal processes (laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, assembly)
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
