We are seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician that supports and executes operational activities/processes, in accordance with established specifications and (quality, safety and environment) guidelines. The Maintenance Technician carries out maintenance and repair work to electrical and/or mechanical installations or equipment (such as production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical installations, transport systems, buildings, facilities and constructions), so that technical assignments are carried out on time, safely and according to specifications to support the optimal running of production.

The Maintenance Technician operates within a production / technical department, with a focus on execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The main purpose of the job of a Maintenance Technician is to prevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery or systems that are used in the production process. They may also support other facilities than production, such as R&D laboratories, office facilities as well as technical buildings (utilities) and systems for logistics and storage. The job takes care of any trouble shooting to keep to production process running and carries out tasks to prevent future disturbances.
The job may be limited to one single technical discipline (such as construction, mechanical, rotating, electrical), or may be more skilled so that apart from one major technical discipline, the Maintenance Technician is able to deal with issues in related technical areas. Depending on the size of the facility, the number of Maintenance Technicians may vary in technical disciplines and expertise levels.

At the highest job level, the “all round” Maintenance Technician is capable of dealing with any of the issues that might occur, troubleshooting and solving technical issues in an expert role.

About The Role: Driving Inventory Excellence

Technical leadership

May provides technical leadership to a group of (permanently or temporarily) assigned engineers or technicians.

Stays abreast of the latest developments in maintenance and engineering

Responsibilities:

• Inspections and preventive/planned maintenance

• Check and Assess the condition of handling multiple electrical/grinding/mixing/bag filling/bulk loading weight bridge machinery on schedules and checklist

• Restores (imminent) defects and perform corrective maintenance

• Signals to Supervisor potential flaws with details of the nature and severity, and proposes solutions

• Orders/polls spare parts and materials for maintenance

• Works on planned maintenance activities of more extensive and/or complex nature

• Signals deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems

• Works in compliance with all relevant safety, and quality regulations and procedures

• Promotes awareness with unsafe situations

• Ensures the work area is left clean and in safe working condition

• Follow basic mandatory work instructions

• Logs all maintenance activities in the appropriate maintenance management systems in order to have a complete administration and insight in the state and history of all equipment, files all technical data

• May assist in preparing, planning and scheduling maintenance and project work; Supervises (scheduled and non-scheduled) maintenance work, carry out testing and generate and implement solutions and/or corrective action to installation and maintenance problems. May actively participate in the execution of the work whilst supervising

• May maintain or supervise inventory management of equipment, parts, and supplies to ensure availability of equipment / spare parts for continuous production

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Trouble Shooting

• 1-3 years of Maintenance Experience

• Automation/Controls Experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Working for the success of the team

• Urgency, Prioritize, Ownership and Personal Accountability
