Job Overview:

Maintenance Technician

Location: Onsite

Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $26/hour (firm)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support and maintain conventional and fully automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production machinery, facility equipment, and building utilities to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conventional and automated production machinery
  • Support facility equipment, utilities, and building maintenance needs
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions through observation, testing, and operational analysis
  • Perform cycle testing and operational checks on production equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, machine manuals, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
  • Execute repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Adapt to changing priorities and production demands as needed
  • Work on ladders, scissor lifts, and in confined spaces when required
  • Assist with emergency repairs and support overtime needs with limited notice

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical and mechanical systems

  • Experience with:

  • - Electrical systems

    • Motors and motion control
    • Servo systems
    • Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
    • Automated manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentation

  • Vocational, military, technical school, or specialized industrial maintenance training preferred

  • Factory-sponsored maintenance training or certifications are a plus

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under production deadlines

  • Reliable, punctual, flexible, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50–100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in scissor lifts, underneath machinery, and in tight spaces
  • Ability to stand and move throughout an 8–10 hour shift
