Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing electrical equipment supporting plastic film manufacturing operations. This includes working with 480 VAC electrical distribution systems, 24 VDC and 120 VAC process control hardware, and single- and three-phase electrical circuits. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
**Schedule: 6:00am – 2:30pm, M-F; On Call, Weekly Rotation

**Job Duties:
**
Perform all duties keeping safety first and constructively influence others to do the same
Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul electro-mechanical and solid-state electrical equipment using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, and powered and non-powered tools
Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical systems; conduct daily rounds and readings
Install new electrical equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards. Includes installing conduit, cable trays and pulling wires/cables
Ability to remove, disconnect and replace equipment
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams
Ability to use a multimeter and other device for testing purposes
Maintain and repair electrical systems used in the facility, including electrical distribution equipment
Comply with and practice proper isolation and verification of all systems where work will be performed
Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations
Other duties as assigned
**Job Qualifications:
**
Experience in Electrical Trade field and/or relevant Electrical Trade education.
Ability to install, comprehend & maintain 480 VAC, 3 phase electrical motor circuits
Ability to read electrical schematics, electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and nameplates
Knowledge of single phase and three phase AC circuits.
Strong understanding of codes and ordinances
Must possess good problem-solving skills
Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors
Ability to communicate effectively.
Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
Willingness to work as a team member or independently
Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
