Job Overview:

 

General Summary:  

Position will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs to sterilization equipment including: boilers, chiller, scrubber, and chambers; while ensuring product quality standards are achieved.  Performs calibrations and control system support.   Position will also provide facilities maintenance for the office areas, grounds, warehouse, pre-conditioning and aeration rooms. 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily checks on the chiller, boiler, scrubber, and vacuum pumps.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Performs calibrations of all process instrumentation equipment.
  • Maintains maintenance documentation, calibration documentation and daily, weekly, monthly and annual logs.  
  • Provides the General Manager monthly reports of activities within maintenance.
  • Assists Quality and Operations in identifying root causes to non-conformances, deviations and CAPA’s providing corrective action as needed.   
  • Troubleshoots hydraulic, electric, mechanical and pneumatic equipment as necessary.  
  • Ensures parts and supplies needed to maintain equipment are in stock and on hand.
  • Expedites repairs on malfunctioning equipment to avoid production delays.
  • Assists the Operators as needed operating forklift or electric pallet jack equipment to load and unload cargo carriers, and /or stage pallets in the various internal processing stations/areas. 
  • Must be able to pass a respiratory physical and be willing to wear a respirator when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma, Associate Degree or Trade School Preferred. Maintenance certifications (electrical, hydraulics and/or mechanical) a plus.

 

Experience:

7+ years of related experience including preventative maintenance and proven electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. 1+ years forklift / electric pallet jack experience and certification highly desired.
