Job Overview:

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

A family-owned company dedicated to creating high-quality chairs and tables for commercial dining spaces is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician. Their products are in the hottest fast-casual chains or bustling university café. The Manufacturing Technician will assist with machine programming, tube bending, and other processes to meet production needs.

Manufacturing Technician Requirements:

- Using work orders and machine specification papers, determines machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance

Operates fork lift to move materials needed to perform work.

  • Troubleshoots equipment issues and determines best means for maintenance and repairs, whether it be outsourcing or performing the work in-house

- Reassembles equipment after the completion of work.

Inspects or tests damaged machine parts, and marks defective areas or advises supervisors of repair needs.

  • Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Dismantles machines and removes parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists.
  • Records production, repair and machine maintenance information.
  • Sets up and operates machines, and adjusts controls to regulate operations.
  • Performs general construction work, painting, drywall, carpentry and grounds keeping.
  • Completes preventative maintenance tasks on equipment as detailed in preventative maintenance program.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday – Friday 1PM-9PM plus OT as needed

  • $23.50-29.50 + 10% Premium

  • $500 Sign On Bonus after 90 days based on attendance criteria

Manufacturing Technician Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience programming lasers and robotic welders

  • Prior tube bending experience

  • High School or GED

  • Advanced math, measuring, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Strong attention to details

  • Willingness to help in other areas during peak production times

  • Functional working knowledge of general hand tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, welders, etc.

  • Functional computer knowledge required such that one can log times and make simple transactions in the ERP system.
