Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
A growing manufacturer in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technicians to join their team. The Maintenance Technician will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor or maintenance manage
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that molds and machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Set up, install, and repair machinery and equipment
- Fabrication and upkeep of parts and tools
- Repair or replace defective equipment, and record maintenance and repair work performed, and the cost of work.
- Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Replaces or repairs metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machine or equipment compartments or containers.
**Schedule: *2nd shift (2-10pm)* **Monday – Friday with weekend overtime
Pay: $22-$26/HR based on experience and qualifications
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- Lead 6S cleaning and organization standards in the Zone.
- 2 or more years of machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Set up and operate machine and adjust controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
