Maintenance Technician

Direct Hire (6a-2p)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience working on industrial manufacturing equipment to join our clients manufacturing maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of machinery and systems to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and minimal downtime in a high-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on industrial machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues on manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain and repair production machines such as conveyors, presses, motors, pumps, gearboxes, ovens, and automated systems.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues before equipment failure.

  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery or equipment upgrades.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing processes.

  • Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate’s degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance technician role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.

  • Proficiency with mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.

  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand/power tools safely and effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics.

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred:

  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems and robotics.

  • Welding and fabrication experience.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles.
