What is a Maintenance Technician?

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports both preventative and corrective maintenance activities and works closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimize downtime. The position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting overall plant performance.

What You Can Expect to Do as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime
  • Respond to maintenance requests and production issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with installation and setup of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance standards
  • Support inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns
  • Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to support operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

What We Are Looking For in a Maintenance Technician:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
